Fast and portable digital refractometer. Removes the subjective assessment of the reading. Assess colostrum IgG concentration (0-50%). Includes automatic temperature compensation system. Place a few drops of well mixed colostrum in the testing well, close over the lid and the result is displayed on the screen after one second. Waterproof rating IP65. 1x AAA battery. Recalibrate with distilled water and dry sample plate between readings. Auto shut-off after 1 minute for energy saving. Remove battery between calving seasons.
Includes removable shell, dropper, driver and battery. Wrist or neck lanyard can be attached at base for security.
NOTE: Avoid standing in direct sunlight when using outdoors which may affect milk reading result.
** Professional Vets - Switch mode to test blood serum (that has been processed in a Vet Centrifuge) for Total Serum Protein (TSP) which correlates to IgG concentration (0-12G/DL).
